The Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, signed three new Ordinances, one on January 22 for the region of Sardinia and one for the regions of Calabria, Emilia Romagna, and Veneto, and one on January 23 for the region of Lombardy, based on the data and indications of the Control Room/Cabina di Regia (Ministerial Decree of April 20, 2020), following their meeting of January 22, 2021.
The ordinances, which will be in force from January 24, 2021, place Lombardy and Sardinia in the “orange” area and confirm Calabria, Emilia Romagna, and Veneto in the “orange” area.
Overall, therefore, the distribution of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces in the yellow, orange, and red areas is as follows, as of January 24:
- yellow area: Campania, Basilicata, Molise, Autonomous Province of Trento, Tuscany
- orange area: Abruzzo, Calabria, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Veneto, Piedmont, Apulia, Sardinia, Umbria, Aosta Valley
- red area: Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Sicily
