At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 41.367 people have tested positive
- 158.355 patients have recovered
- 33.475 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 233.197.
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 20.861 in Lombardy, 5.062 in Piedmont, 3.068 in Emilia-Romagna, 1.468 in Veneto, 1.082 in Tuscany, 611 in Liguria, 2.894 nel Lazio, 1.327 nelle Marche, 939 in Campania, 1.155 in Puglia, 293 in the autonomous province of Trento, 967 in Sicily, 266 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 744 in Abruzzo, 123 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 31 in Umbria, 161 in Sardinia, 17 in the Aosta Valley, 135 in Calabria, 135 in Molise e 28 in Basilicata.
