At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 100.943 people have tested positive
- 78.249 patients have recovered
- 28.236 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 207.428
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 36.473 in Lombardy, 15.562 in Piedmont, 9.484 in Emilia-Romagna, 7.779 in Veneto, 5.373 in Tuscany, 3.518 in Liguria, 4.446 in Lazio, 3.211 in the Marche, 2.753 in Campania, 1.293 in the autonomous province of Trento, 2.947 in Puglia, 2.171 in Sicily, 1.115 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1.911 in Abruzzo, 757 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 204 in Umbria, 744 in Sardinia, 92 in Valle d’Aosta, 727 in Calabria, 193 in Basilicata and 190 in Molise.
