At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 81.266 people have tested positive
- 109.039 patients have recovered
- 30.911 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 221.216
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 30.675 in Lombardy, 13.184 in Piedmont, 6.801 in Emilia-Romagna, 5.190 in Veneto, 3.841 in Tuscany, 2.779 in Liguria, 4.273 in Lazio, 3.208 in the Marche, 1.877 in Campania, 667 in the autonomous province of Trento, 2.421 in Puglia, 1.911 in Sicily, 801 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1.548 in Abruzzo, 437 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 109 in Umbria, 506 in Sardinia, 104 in the Aosta Valley, 568 in Calabria, 140 in Basilicata and 226 in Molise.
