At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 72.070 people have tested positive
- 120.205 patients have recovered
- 31.610 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 223.885
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 27.746 in Lombardy, 11.113 in Piedmont, 6.001 in Emilia-Romagna, 4.439 in Veneto, 3.168 in Tuscany, 2.603 in Liguria, 4.088 in Lazio, 2.795 in the Marche, 1.736 in Campania, 406 in the autonomous province of Trento, 2.181 in Puglia, 1.760 in Sicily, 741 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1.454 in Abruzzo, 359 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 90 in Umbria, 461 in Sardinia, 77 in the Aosta Valley, 505 in Calabria, 86 in Basilicata and 227 in Molise.
