At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 106.607 people have tested positive
- 40.164 patients have recovered
- 22.170 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 168.941
In detail: there are currently 33.090 positive cases in Lombardy, 13.783 in Piedmont, 13.663 in Emilia-Romagna, 10.800 in Veneto, 6.613 in Tuscany, 4.144 nel Lazio, 3.437 in Liguria, 3.124 in the Marche, 3.118 in Campania, 2.625 in Puglia, 2.108 in Sicily, 2.087 in the autonomous Province of Trento, 1.850 in Abruzzo, 1.593 in the autonomous Province of Bolzano, 1.330 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 865 in Sardinia, 847 in Calabria, 536 in Umbria, 518 in the Aosta Valley, 273 in Basilicata and 203 in Molise.
