At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 66.553 people have tested positive
- 127.326 patients have recovered
- 32.007 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 225.886
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 27.073 in Lombardy, 9.874 in Piedmont, 5.525 in Emilia-Romagna, 4.004 in Veneto, 2.573 in Tuscany, 2.339 in Liguria, 3.826 in Lazio, 2.315 in the Marche, 1.673 in Campania, 1.995 in Puglia. 248 in the autonomous province of Trento, 1.539 in Sicily, 6211 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1.413 in Abruzzo, 307 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 77 in Umbria, 380 in Sardinia, 60 in the Aosta Valley, 401 in Calabria, 217 in Molise and 93 in Basilicata.
