At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 39.893 people have tested positive
- 160.092 patients have recovered
- 33.530 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 233.515.
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 20.255 in Lombardy, 4.828 in Piedmont, 2.912 in Emilia-Romagna, 1.403 in Veneto, 1.011 in Tuscany, 546 in Liguria, 2.847 nel Lazio, 1.326 nelle Marche, 890 in Campania, 1.051 in Puglia, 283 in the autonomous province of Trento, 966 in Sicily, 244 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 743 in Abruzzo, 120 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 31 in Umbria, 155 in Sardinia, 13 in the Aosta Valley, 112 in Calabria, 133 in Molise e 24 in Basilicata.
