At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 108.237 people have tested positive
- 48.877 patients have recovered
- 24.114 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 181.228
In detail: there are currently 34.587 positive cases in Lombardy, 13.522 in Emilia-Romagna, 14.557 in Piedmont, 10.061 in Veneto, 6.568 in Tuscany, 4.365 nel Lazio, 3.496 in Liguria, 3.212 in the Marche, 3.019 in Campania, 2.810 in Puglia, 1.929 in the autonomous Province of Trento, 2.210 in Sicily, 2.062 in Abruzzo, 1.190 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1.540 in the autonomous Province of Bolzano, 854 in Sardinia, 828 in Calabria, 424 in Umbria, 548 in the Aosta Valley, 242 in Basilicata and 213 in Molise.
