At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 99.980 people have tested positive
- 82.879 patients have recovered
- 29.079 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 211.938
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 37.307 in Lombardy, 15.562 in Piedmont, 8.984 in Emilia-Romagna, 7.234 in Veneto, 5.279 in Tuscany, 3.508 in Liguria, 4.385 in Lazio, 3.206 in the Marche, 2.711 in Campania, 1.165 in the autonomous province of Trento, 2.945 in Puglia, 2.202 in Sicily, 1.050 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1.837 in Abruzzo, 636 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 181 in Umbria, 653 in Sardinia, 110 in Valle d’Aosta, 674 in Calabria, 173 in Basilicata and 178 in Molise.
